Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde Synopsis Chapter 4

Mr. Utterson reads Dr. Jekyll's will (a will is like a letter saying who will inherit your belongings when you die). The will states that in case Dr. Jekyll dissappears, Mr. Hyde will inherit everything that Dr. Jekyll owned.

He is a bit confused why Dr. Jekyll would do such a thing, so he visits his old friend Dr. Lanyon who is also wondering why Dr. Jekyll is hardly seen lately. It is there Dr. Lanyon speaks his famous words "Such scientific rubbish!"

It turns out Dr. Lanyon hasn't met Mr. Hyde, nor does he even know who Mr. Hyde is...

Mr. Utterson returns home and he is anxious to find out who Mr. Hyde is. Every day he hangs around at the places where Richard Enfield had come across Mr. Hyde.

He talks to Mr. Hyde and he finally gets to see Mr. Hyde's face. After another brief conversation Mr. Hyde finally goes into his house.
